LEMX – RACE, Sat 9/1/2007 – GFI track

So it was hot Saturday, and humid to boot. No matter, the turn out was great, and just like the weather, the racing was hot! These are some dedicated riders, and once the weather cools down, the same riders will be prepared with an endurance advantage.
Do you want to have some serious fun , you want to feel the real deal ? – Come out and race with us at LEMX. You just gotta experience this for your self. One race, and you may hooked! You have not lived until you experience being on the line in a race.
Having the race starter seeking your helmet nod, as a confirmation you’re a go, no-go & race ready. The 30 second board then going sideways, the anticipation for the gate drop!
As I wait for gate to drop, engines revving down the line of racers, it suddenly gets very quiet in my helmet, and I can hear my breathing … as I mentally picture the take off … this is a very sweet effect. No matter how many times I live this, … it will never be complacent !
What a rush, and not much compares to this. It doesn’t matter if you win, hole-shot, pass, get passed, do all the jumps. … I say again, it doesn’t matter. It’s about haven kick butt fun. The rest is all a bonus.
Races are held every Saturday at LEMX – practice starts at 8am – races at 9am. So be there. And be sure to bring your game. Don’t feel bad if you get passed by Katoom, #272. As this 16 yr girly girl triples the back section, clears the triple threats, lands down-side the gravity cavity, and stays on the gas thru the rollers
Jeanette’s KTM 200 two-smoke really suits her riding style, and the girls “Got Style”. Proving said, two hole-shots later J-272 took the overall as she held the lead for a first place finishes. Sweet job my friend! She’s won many races, and took this in stride. I look forward to following Wall’s progress in the coming race season.

Honestly, I’m concerned that sooner or later, I’ll end up running a moto with J-272. If so, rest assured missy “Youth and talent is no match for age and treachery”
Alicia Brinkman, Honda #330 looked great and is really picking her speed back up. Alicia’s getting stronger every ride back in the game. Alicia pulled a 2/2 for 2nd over all, and passed boys as well. Dang, I better get to practicing! I will be following the progress on Alicia as well. Next time your at LEMX, say hello to the “Jewel of LEMX” … she’s EMT, and may come to your aid!
We had some pretty fast guys out here in the next class up. Some serious and clean racing was going down. My good friend Jonnie, a Major in the Special Forces (“Thank You” for protecting us) was there supporting his friends Cesar Gonzales –Yam #966 and Jerrick Thacker Yam # 726.
These young men are fast, well mannered, and in shape. They are both serious threats to win up and coming race series. Supported by a great family and crew, all had a great day … This is what I love to see. – and Dad, thanks for the cold water …
With Cesar’s 2/2 for 2nd over all. While Jerrick Thacker Yam # 726 went 1/1 for 1 over all. These guys were a blast to watch racing. Combined with some very close finishes, man I wanted to ride too. Well that its for now, I’ve put up a few pictures in as well.
This is going to be a great race season. Don’t just watch, come race. Need a bike ? I’ve a sweet 04 CRF 450 – zero hrs on new motor, recent trans and lots of sweet goodies. She’s priced to sell at $3,200 and ready to race. Nothing needed on this crème puff.
