What’s up everybody !

We’ve been working hard these couple weeks on all the events coming up. What else is new, right? We’re just putting the last couple things together for the 3rd round of the Side X Side(SXS) Nationals April 19th .We’re pumped , and want to see as many of you guys out there as possible.
The SXS Nationals are burnin it up like wildfire. The last event we had about 1500 people show up, and almost 100 racers. The FPO Super Lites will be running again, and also the Super Karts (mini sand rails). If you missed the Super Lites you have to come check them out this time. The crowd was stoked on them as much as anything we’ve ever thrown into the mix. If you don’t have anything planned for April 19th, cross off that day on your calendar and roll on down to the Kalgard Motorsports Complex A.K.A. Lake Elsinore MX Park. You know what? Even if you do have something planned, cancel it and come check us out. You won’t regret it!

Also check back for updates on www.palaraceway.com  on a regular basis for updates.

Construction Update 4/14/2008:

The mass grading crew is making great progress on the site, as the removal of all the remnants of the mining operation continues. The grading crew keeps switching back and forth between the scrappers and rock trucks as they encounter large veins of rocks and boulders that the scrappers struggle to move without damaging the heavy equipment.

The rock trucks and loaders had to be used in this area of the site clean up to remove the larger rocks.

The dozer is used to rip loose bigger boulders so the loader can move it into the back of the rock truck.

The scrappers were back to filling the sub grade with good clean dirt.

The site has changed a lot as the mining operation is removed. It will change even more once the tracks are built..

Warning:

While the mass grading is going on the site is a closed site and no one besides authorized personal will be allowed on site due to the dangerous nature of the construction site. Please do not try and come out to the site, security will not let you through the front gate unless you are chaperoned by a member of the Pala Raceway Staff. Once the mass grading is done and the track building crews are on site we will begin offering site tours.

Hey, we just added a bunch of new stuff to the SXS Nationals. The last race had about 1500 people and 100 racers. So, we decided to add a second day to the event. Saturday will be pretty much the same with the Superlites, Super-karts, Trophy karts, and Side x Sides. On Sunday though, we’re adding 1450 Short Course Trucks, Mini Trucks, a Rally Car demo and a Pro Truck demo. Everyone was stoked about the last one, but you guys are going to go crazy about this next round. It’s at the Kal-Gard Motorsports Expo, and it’s April 19th-20th. It’s only $15 to get in, or $20 for both days. You guys should come check it out for yourselves.

Thanks for the support// DA

NEWS – Perris Raceway “ New track layout to be completed Tuesday, April 15

Perris Raceway’s Ike Jost – Track Manger, clues in David of Throttlejunkie.com

Say good-bye to the track lay-out as you know it. Change is in the wind! While at the legendary Perris Raceway last night to get in some ride time with Randy, (Idiotboyz.com) Mauler, and the boys. I had a planned sit down with Ike Jost, Perris Raceway track manager -

I was interviewing Ike for the upcoming two-part story on the new and improved Perris Raceway. Many good things have taken place under the ownership of Rick Johnson & Seb’ Tortelli and Gen Manager skills of Jeff Nordstrom. While chatting it up with Ike it came to light that by Tuesday, the track layout would be substantially changed.

“Its been about nine months now,…and its time” Ike stated. The track changes will encompass an increase in technicality of obstacles, and a reverse of direction as well (clockwise). Ike was excited about the coming changes. I can understand, seeing Ike co-designed the track we ride and love now. He will again apply his know-how on the track we’ll soon get to know. ~ Thanks Ike.
