Moto-X-Kidz Summer Race Series group photo will be taken this Sun 8-3-2008, race day at the Kal-Gard Motorsport Complex.

Hello ThrottleJunkie’s! Hope your all well. I sure missed ya’all last race day. I received some pretty cool emails asking if all is OK (thanks). I am. And will see you on Sunday, mic in hand!

I want to remind everyone the Moto-X-Kidz Summer Race Series group photo will be taken this Sun 8-3-2008, race day at the Kal-Gard Motorsport Complex. So wash your gear, comb your hair and brush those pearly whites. Or not, … if that’s how you roll!

“The series race results are here”. Just a mouse click away, so check em out! We have more than a few close points chases going on. Yup, never a dull moment at a Moto-X-Kidz race series! So Kidz, “bee prepared”. Eat your Wheaties, and for Pete’s sake get to bed early for once – without complaining!

Want better lap times ? … Then ive got the goods!

Study the track before you race and find your strong points. Walk the track. Look carefully to see where you thrive, and hang-it out there. Of course a good start is about the best way to make time. But with 5 laps to go, you can win races in many places. Especially in the turns.

Look for the lines that suit you best, and you’ll pick up a few seconds. Be sure to look for alternative lines too. You wont pass by following the guy in front of you! “Bee creative”

Here’s a little racing advice ive picked up from pro’s

#1 - “Race the track, not your competition”. Forget about other the riders the best you can. See them only as obstacles! The better you can do this, the calmer and therefore more consistent you will be.

#2 - “Never ride above your ability or take chances, “Never”. Your better off to be safe and race another day. One crash or bobble will cost you time, a race or worse. So race safe and be consistent. Champions are made with consistency. This is fact.

“You don’t have to take first place to win a series, but you do have to finish well ” - thus says Canard, Stewart, Reed & Carmichael to name a few! Ya, im pretty sure they know waz-up

#3 – “Check your tire pressure before each Moto”. Tire pressure alone makes a huge impact on your bikes handling and traction. So check before you head to the race gate – every moto, every time! Make this habit, like checking your fuel. This is commonly neglected, and a simple way to better lap times, or a win!

The above advice comes directly from persons I have met or interviewed, guys that get paid to race! More to come . See ya at the track ~! “Ride Fast, Pray Hard, Give It All You Got”
