The Lake Elsinore Watercraft dash is in the books and it was a fantastic debut for what we can only hope will be in series form next year. The venue was excellent and included lots of room for pit row and nice touches like plenty of clean restrooms, vendors on site featuring Cold Stone, smoothies, water, sports/energy drinks, throttle junkie goodies, Bomber sunglasses,
DMp parts and accessories and much more. Big ups to Dave Pulley and his crew for putting together Region One’s second and last jet ski race of the season. It was an insane amount of hard work that the Pulley’s and their gang, Looter, Lisa Price, The Sims, Mauler and a score of others pulled off with impressive results. Thanks guys, you rock!
Results, results…. I did not get to bring home the final sheets, so unofficially off the top of my head some winners were: Dave “Looter” Hardenburger – Vet Ski, Shawn Quemada – Sport, Bobby Kearns – Run Stock, Rene & Jeff Hill – Runabout classes, Nicolus Rius – Ski GP, Robert”Dubz”Carrion – Supercourse, Matt Golberg – Am Ski Open, Nick Rosenberg – 1st time ski, Kurt Samuels – pro/am ski stock, Bob Hyde – Masters ski, Jason Billing – Ltd ski, Valerie Moline – Pro/am women’s
ski, Danielle Durica – Novice women’s ski, and I’m not 100% sure on this last one, but I think Matt “Masher500″ won novice ski stock on his beat to death ’91 square nose. Sweet!
Congratulations on great rides by all and thanks to the City of Lake Elsinore and DMP for bringing racing back to SoCal – where it all began. Lastly, a thousand thank you’s to the Sims family for their gracious hospitality in throwing a post race dinner and party. Anne one cheek cooked up some killer tacos and lasagna that hit the spot big time. Fun people and fun times.
