2009 Kawasaki Teryx Model Release

KAWASAKI TERYX™ 750 FI 4×4 RECEIVES SIGNIFICANT UPGRADES FOR 2009Digital Fuel Injection, Digital Gauges and Tilt Bed Highlight Changes For specific details on each model please click the image above2009 Kawasaki Teryx™ 750 FI 4×4

A wide body chassis, big V-twin power and an efficient CVT hallmark Kawasaki’s impressive line of Teryx™ recreation utility vehicles. For 2009, the original Kawasaki Teryx 750 4×4 takes the next evolutionary step with the addition of digital fuel injection and a host of upgraded features.

An efficient CVT, integrated occupant protection, superior ground clearance, impressive cargo capacity, and sport handling made the original Teryx one of the most talked-about RUVs on the planet. The addition of a new digital fuel-injection (DFI) system to its mid-mounted 749cc 90-degree V-twin engine adds even more performance and utility to the Teryx, giving it a clear edge over its rivals.
The enhanced response provided by the Teryx’s new digital fuel injection system means its strong and proven V-twin engine is quicker-revving than ever. Kawasaki engineers kept much of the engine’s likeable character when they added DFI, but still found ways to improve it – such as changing the ignition timing to boost low and mid range torque and improve response at higher rpm. Other inherent benefits gained from adding DFI include automatic

altitude compensation, automatic idle adjustment and easy, choke-free starting.
The fuel injection system’s sophisticated array of sensors includes an inlet air pressure, throttle position, crankshaft position, rpm, water temperature and a vehicle down sensor. As part of the DFI upgrade, the Teryx also received a new fuel tank with an internal fuel pump.

Yamaha Is Best-Selling PWC Of ‘08

The VX Deluxe leads the industry as best-selling PWC of 2008.

October 23, 2008Kennesaw, GA - The 2008 personal watercraft (PWC) selling season officially ended September 30, and the Yamaha VX Deluxe led the industry as the best-selling PWC model of 2008.

This is the fourth year in a row that a Yamaha VX model has been the best-selling PWC in the industry. The VX Deluxe epitomizes Yamaha’s reputation for reliability, unmatched value, and best-in-class performance.

The versatile VX Deluxe, as with the entire VX series, is powered by the most fuel-efficient engine in the industry and is optimized to run on less expensive regular octane fuel. This combination saves owners hundreds of dollars each summer compared to competitive models.

The VX Deluxe is not the only VX model topping the best-seller list; the Yamaha VX Cruiser is also in the top three.

“The VX series has changed the way consumers look at entry-level personal watercraft,” says Bryan Seti, Yamaha’s national marketing manager. “Incredibly low cost of ownership and minimal maintenance combined with excellent performance and a long list of standard features make the VX series the most popular PWC in the industry today.”

For 2009, Yamaha’s VX Series returns with all new colors and graphics, starting at $7,699 MSRP.

Kawasaki jet ski racers come out on top at IJSBA World Finals

October 23, 2008

Lake Havasu City, AZ - Kawasaki’s Craig Warner, Alberto Monti, and Emi Kanamori dominated the Pro Runabout, Pro Ski, and Pro-Am Women’s Ski classes, respectively; at the 2008 IJSBA World Finals at Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Steven Dauliach also put Kawasaki on the podium with a second-place finish in the Pro Ski class. The Pro Runabout class results were dominated by Kawasaki watercraft earning six of the top-10 riders on Kawasakis. The World Finals has drawn global competition for the last 27 years, with over 30 countries attending in 2008.
Pro Runabout Title

Warner returned to the World Finals to defend his 2007 win and did just that in dominating fashion. He went 1-1 on his Kawasaki Jet Ski STF-15F in both motos under extremely windy conditions and was able to secure his second-consecutive Pro Runabout title.

“The wind really benefited our team,” said Warner. “I usually train in rough water so I knew I had a great chance of winning. When I got out there I felt really comfortable and the Kawasaki Jet Ski worked great in the harsh conditions.”

A First for Monti
After being a spectator and competitor of the World Finals since 1991, Monti finally brought home his first Pro Ski Championship on a Kawasaki Jet Ski 800SX-R. The 42-year-old Kawasaki rider was elated to have race conditions similar to his training waters at his home on the Mediterranean Sea in Italy.

Finally Got The Title
Kanamori impressed many at this year’s event. Her 2-1 performance was good enough for her first World Finals title in the Pro-Am Women’s Ski class. No one was more proud of her than her husband and Kawasaki employee Minoru Kanamori.

“It was a great race,” said Minoru Kanamori. “She’s been trying to win the title for three or four years and has been so close each year. Now she finally did it! We are both really happy.”
