October 23, 2008Kennesaw, GA – The 2008 personal watercraft (PWC) selling season officially ended September 30, and the Yamaha VX Deluxe led the industry as the best-selling PWC model of 2008.
This is the fourth year in a row that a Yamaha VX model has been the best-selling PWC in the industry. The VX Deluxe epitomizes Yamaha’s reputation for reliability, unmatched value, and best-in-class performance.
The versatile VX Deluxe, as with the entire VX series, is powered by the most fuel-efficient engine in the industry and is optimized to run on less expensive regular octane fuel. This combination saves owners hundreds of dollars each summer compared to competitive models.
The VX Deluxe is not the only VX model topping the best-seller list; the Yamaha VX Cruiser is also in the top three.
“The VX series has changed the way consumers look at entry-level personal watercraft,” says Bryan Seti, Yamaha’s national marketing manager. “Incredibly low cost of ownership and minimal maintenance combined with excellent performance and a long list of standard features make the VX series the most popular PWC in the industry today.”
For 2009, Yamaha’s VX Series returns with all new colors and graphics, starting at $7,699 MSRP.
