PLEASE PROTECT OUR SPORT AND ECONOMY AND READ BELOW…..

Legislation has been written that takes affect on February 10th banning all youth vehicles at dealerships right now and in the distribution pipeline. Given the current state of the market and the economy, letting this ban go in to affect without a fight would be a serious blow to all dealership and the motorsports industry as a whole.
This reckless and ridiculous ban is being put into place by 2 individual legislators under the assumption that children could chew on the frame of a quad, wheels and battery posts and somehow eat enough lead to cause lead poisoning. If children are chewing on quad frames, there is a much larger problem in that child’s life that has nothing to do with a motorcycle or quad.
The recent ruling by the CPSC is poised to devastate the motorsports retailers in the US. Product model years are designed, manufactured and shipped to retailers the fall preceding the model year. Motorsports retailers are currently stocked with 2009 motorcycles, and ATV’s affected by this ban.
Stop the recklessness of this CPSC ban! This will only serve to further devastate our economy by potentially putting dealers and manufacturers out of business. There is no imminent threat of children chewing on frames, aluminum wheels or battery posts. Common sense would dictate the compliance for motorsports retailers and manufacturers would consider production lead times.
The ban completely lacks in common sense in that it does not make any allowances for production and manufacturing lead time, which would allow compliance without the risk of bankrupting dealers and manufacturers that are already strained by today’s tough economy
Please help by sending a copy of the notice below to the CPSC today! If you know of anyone else who would help, please forward this to them. We need support on this issue.

Helmet cam video of the Per-run Soboba GP track http://www.idiotboyz.com
Next Tuesday is confirmed. Pre-Run Video should be up by next Tuesday night. I’ll repeat what I said in a previous post… The Soboba GP is definitely worth riding/racing in. Most of the terrain that the course cuts through is open just once a year and the location is like a picture post card. I will be camping there Friday & Saturday night with the family and racing on Sunday. The Soboba GP location is about 15 minutes past Starwest going East on the Ramona Expressway. These guys put on an A+ event. Everyone that I have spoke to that attended last year had a blast and said nothing but good things. Plenty of flaggers, track support and course markers. Plenty of water trucks to address any dry spots and medical support standing by on site.
Mike “the Mauler” from ThrottleJunkie.com will be the event announcer. Stop by and introduce yourself to him. Tell him your a ProRider and he’ll probably do an on-the-spot interview with you. I believe they still have some vendor spots open too (last year they were free). If you know anyone that would like to be a vendor, click on the like below.
Hey, whats up? Mauler and Frank were at last years Soboba Grand Prix
The pics are posted in the gallery, check em out!
