I would like to thank every Racer, Spectator, Vendor, Sponsor, Storm Stadium Staff, City Member and my Podium Crew that made this event a success! I could not be happier with your positive attitudes and cooperation at this event. The emails have already flooded in on what a great event we put together, but ultimately it comes down to how the racers respond to all of our hard work and months of planning.
We have received good reviews from the Sheriff and Fire Departments, City Officials and Local Residents but we can only thank you for your good behavior. With reports like this we can continue putting this race on for years to come.
This was my first time trying to pull an event of this magnitude off. I would like to dedicate The 2009 Lake Elsinore Grand Prix to my grandfather Dick Dahn and my father Ted Brobeck that are the reasons I am in this business today. Since I have been in diapers I have been on the back of a dozer with my grandfather building Mickey Thompson Off Road tracks. He was an avid Off Road Racer, lover of people and his grandkids! My grandpa actually built the 2009 GP track and was still building CORR tracks when he was diagnosed with Renal Cancer which ended his life in April of this year. My father Ted Brobeck would have been on the line in the Vet 40+ Exp Quad class, little did he know that when he was prepping our bikes for the Adelanto Grand Prix over 15 years ago that his little girl could pull off an event like this. I miss you both and thank you for your help and guidance this year.
I could not have done it without the hard work of my amazing Podium Crew and outstanding Volunteers! We would Ilike to thank the Storm Stadium Staff, especially Bruce Kessman and Dave Oster for bringing this event to us and trusting that we could pull it off. I can’t thank you all enough! I hope all of you enjoyed this years GP, it was a learning experience for all of us and we hope to make next year even better.
