Series Race #6 of 111256 Marcum Rd
Nicolaus Ca 95659
(530) 656-2700 (530) 656-2700
The DJSA campsite rate is $20 a night.
Entrance for the park is easily reached from nearby hw 99.
Exit on Nicolaus Ave to Marcum Rd to Park entrance at 1256 Marcum Rd or
After checking in at the gate, you will drive to the left around the lake to the east side camping area. It is a narrow one lane road and the speed is 5 mph. I have a feeling you are going to dig this race site so please help me in making a good impression with the park staff so that we are invited back!
Our camping area is located on the far side of the lake which is where all our race activities will take place. Parking, sign in, registration, pits, launching, announcing, scoring etc… Pit sites are first come – first served. All race skis will be pitted on the beach like at Camp Far West or SSVR.
Cafe, store, and showers on site.
Park quiet hours are from 11pm – 8am
Reg will be open at 7:30am.
Reg will close at 9:30am sharp.
At the risk of falling over dead from shock – I would like to see standup practice start at 9am sharp.
Pre-reg requests are now being accepted for startline positions.
If you have raced at any previous 2010 djsa race, all I need from you is an email stating what classes you are running and your race # for your classes. I will print out your entries for you. Otherwise download an entry form from www.diablojsa.com and zap it to me so I can get it on the class rosters. Pre-reg discount entries and request will be taken up until 7/10/10 at 9pm.
Standard pre-reg entry fees ~
X2 and 650 stands – $40
All other classes – $50
Additional classes $20 each (max 3 classes in one day per racer)
Advance payment via paypal helps me out and speeds things up on race day, but they are not as crucial as the entry forms! I need an entry form for EACH CLASS you are running, or an email of intent stating what class, ski, and race number you are running. ALL entries on site on race day are $60 regardless of class.

Hotel info ~
Comfort Suites liked being our host hotel for Marysville and Jean says they have another awesome rate to offer you for the Lake Minden Race if you are interested… $70 a night including breakfast and internet. They are located about an easy 15 drive away just off hw 70 and if I wasn’t taking the motorhome I’d be staying there myself! Jean says when calling in to be sure and say you are with DJSA so that they can get you hooked up.
