“The Ranch” 700-acre Five Motocross track facility in So, Ca

| Published by ThrottleHand Bookmark and Share

This 700-acre facility will be called “The Ranch,” and is designed and built by Marc Peters. Five Motocross tracks with terrain for all riders’ capabilities and equipment, from the main track with four to five lines through every corner and 36 ft.-wide straight-a-ways. The track carved out of a natural hillside in the mesquite chaparral (green year round) is two minutes and 10 seconds for a good professional rider.

MX_Anza

The main track at The Ranch has an East Coast national track feel brought to the West Coast. Marc Peters has been building national tracks for the past four years for MXSports.

The main track at The Ranch has been designed with elements of High Point, Steel City, Bud’s Creek, and Red Bud National tracks. There are big uphills and downhills, off cambers, step-ups, and great rhythm sections. The track will be prepped and groomed at the same professional level you see before national races like Steel City or High Point (Mount Morris), to give the ultimate riding experience.

The 1960’s track is a European style, laid out by Preston Petty & Stu Peters, again in the natural hillside, up and down lanes with sweeping corners and no jumps. This track will take you back in time. The 1980’s Motocross track is a combination of Carlsbad Raceway, Saddleback Park, and Indian Dunes. It is located on the flats with sand wash sections and hillside with great safe landings, tabletops that you can jump or just ride over, 40-foot corners and 36 feet wide straight a ways. There will be a 65/85cc track and a PeeWee track. Both are technical, safe and fun for all riders.

There are flat pit areas for camping, plus great viewing areas for spectators and family. This new Motocross complex is 2.9 miles past the Cahuilla Casino on State Highway 371 going (North), to Bautista Road go Right (East) for 1.5 miles to “The Ranch.”

The Ranch will be open the 3rd & 5th (three months of the year have a 5th weekend) weekends of the month on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Prepped & watered tracks each day and $25.00 per bike, per day, per rider to practice, Spectators free for Practice and $10 to over-night park (no hook-ups) per vehicle/motorhome. Operating hours will be 8am to 4pm.

AUSTRALIA THE NEW AMERICA

Posted by mauler On October - 19 - 2010 Comments Off
Australia just said/did pretty much the same thing. I LOVE this country’s leader’s attitude…sure wish OUR leaders would adopt it:

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd – Australia

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks..

Separately, Rudd angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques. Quote:

‘IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT.. Take It Or Leave It.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. ‘

‘This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom’

‘We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!’

‘Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.’

‘We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.’

‘This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, ‘THE RIGHT TO LEAVE’.’

‘If you aren’t happy here then LEAVE. We didn’t force you to come here. You asked to be here So accept the country YOU accepted.’

“Jet Ski Fever” classic video now available on DVD

Posted by mauler On October - 18 - 2010 Comments Off

The first race video in the sport’s history, Jet Ski Fever, will be available for the first time on DVD on February 15th.

This 23-minute, professionally produced documentary focuses on the 1983 duel between Larry Rippenkroeger and Brian Bendix during the Inaugural World Cup Challenge at three stops in Florida, while also featuring the top woman racer at the time, Celeste Peterson. All three are in the IJSBA Hall of Fame. There are also comments from Hall of Fame Race Director Steve Stricklin, and pioneer supporter Bernie Little, legendary owner of the Miss Budweiser Hydroplane, along with many other racers.

The action packed video also includes the original title track “Jet Ski Fever” as well as the first ever five-man ramp jump, shot from multiple angles.

Produced by acclaimed videographer and director John Biffar, Jet Ski Fever helped the sport explode in popularity in the mid-80′s, as it was seen in Kawasaki dealers nationwide and on broadcast television in Canada and Japan. Then, a highlights reel from Jet Ski Fever was hand-delivered to television stations all over Florida, which generated significant publicity for the sport in its formative years.

“Jet Ski Fever is without doubt the grandfather of all personal watercraft videos … Fever was many early enthusiasts’ first look at professional PWC racing, as well as pro-caliber riders like Larry “The Ripper” Rippenkroeger and “Flyin’ Brian” Bendix … the film stands as an excellent history lesson into the sport and the glory days that were to follow.” – Jeff Hemmel, Ride Magazine, Winter 2010

Legendary Lake Elsinore Grand Prix signups are open

Posted by mauler On October - 12 - 2010 Comments Off
Welcome to the 2010 Legendary Lake Elsinore Grand Prix brought to you in part by Rockstar Energy drinks and Lucas Oil.

This year’s event will be held on Veteran’s Day weekend, November 7th and 8th.

The Storm Stadium has joined forces with local race promoter Podium Productions to bring the LEGP back to the roots of grand prix racing.

We would like to honor many of the same traditions that GFI’s Goat Breaker created to make this event a success. We have listened to the suggestions and concerns of the racing community and hope to make this year the beginning of another 41 years of racing history.

With the help of racers that have competed in the LEGP for over 10 years, we have designed a very diverse 7.2 mile course utilizing various sections of the original track. Start/Finish, the pits and vendor row will be located at the Storm Stadium.

Races will include mx, quad, UTV, and the Harvey Mushman 100 mile Pro Race presented by Lucas Oil. There will be a large purse so don’t miss it! Saturday night there will be a concert inside the Storm Stadium. So bring some friends and plan on having a great weekend at the races! I will see you there!

If you would like to compete please visit the following websites for registration and more info.
