The Dana Point to Avalon and Back Race
PRESS RELEASE
(for Immediate Release) Warner Captures the Dana Point to Avalon Offshore Race March 27, 2011 The 3rd Annual Dana Point to Avalon Offshore Race presented by Sea-Doo & Sea-Tow sanctioned by the APBA was a tremendous success despite one of the roughest races in the history of the Triple Crown series! Congratulations to Craig Warner #1 Corona, CA Monster Energy/Kawasaki on the overall win and 1st in Pro-Am Open with a time of 1 hour 10 minutes and 55 Seconds. 2nd Place went to past Triple Crown Offshore National Champion Mark Gerner with a time of 1 hour 15 minutes and 35 seconds. Rounding out the podium in 3rd overall and in the Pro/Am Class was Eric Hardin #5 Anaheim, CA on his Kawasaki Ultra 300X crossing the line just 10 seconds behind Gerner with a time of 1 hour 15 minutes and 45 seconds. Story weather conditions, low visibility, moderate to high swells all made for a rough race that really tested the racers and equipment from start to finish.
