On Friday, October 14th, 2011, The Second-Annual Hart and Huntington Best Whip Competition took place. Some of the industry’s top FmX athletes arrived in Sin City to battle it out to see who would take home not just the Title of Best Whip for this year’s Dew Tour Championship, but also a check written out for $7k.
The list of FmX Athletes competing against each other included (In order from left to right) JARRYD MCNEIL, LANCE COURY, MYLES RICHMOND, BEAU BAMBURG, DESTIN CANTRELL & RONNIE RENNER.
Last year first place went home with Australia’s very own Jarryd McNeil, however this year Myles Richmond came out with some very aggressive whips laying it down for the rest of his competition.
All of this year’s competitors put on a hell of a show, but only one can leave with the title & return home $7k richer. In the end, It was Myles Richmond who came out on top with a well deserved victory from The 2011 Las Vegas Dew Tour Championship for Best Whip.
On behalf of THROTTLEJUNKIE.COM & Myself we would like to Congratulate Myles for his recent win & wish him the best of luck on his upcoming endeavors. Keep it up Man!

2011 GRP Fall Series at Perris Raceway and Pala Raceway
Gateway Race Promotions is proud to announce the GRP Fall Series at Perris Raceway and Pala Raceway this Fall.
Suzuki Motorcycles will have contingency at 2 rounds of the Fall Series, Round #2 at Pala and Round #5 at Perris, with up to $7,575 per race. Check out all the info here on Suzuki Contingency. Suzuki Contingency pay out listed below.
Unit has signed on as presenting sponsor of GRP Races and will be giving away tons of Unit T-Shirts, Hats, and prize packs.
Up to $4,500 worth of GRP Practice Ride Cards will be up for grabs at Each Round. Top 3 in all Qualified classes will be eligable. 10 riders per Non Professional Class to Qualify a class for Ride Card Contingency give away. See the pay out schedule below.
There will be series Awards for Class Champions, 30% Trophies at each race, and 100% Pro Payback. Results will be done the day of the event and Event Trophies will be available at the following race. For a class to be eligable for Championship awards a minimum of 3 riders must race each event of the series. Series Points will be collected at each event.
2011 GRP Hot Summer nights Champions will have free entries to the 2011 GRP Fall Series to defend their class championship or to advance to the next class up.
Pre Entries are $25 per Entry; Post Entries are $30 per entry. Second Class Entry $20 day of race.
There is a $10 per person gate fee to get in the park.
Gates Open at 7 AM.
Practice Starts at 8:30 AM
Racing Starts at 10:00 AM
We plan on having long motos for each class, 15 minutes for Amateur Classes and 20 minutes for 250/450/Vet 30 Pros and Intermediates, and will be utilizing double gates.

Ultra4 Racing Announces the Pit Bull Tires King of The Hammers UTV Race Presented by SXSPerformance
(10/15/11-Riverside, CA) Pit Bull Tires has once again taken the lead and is returning as title sponsor for the 2012 Pit Bull Tires King of The Hammers UTV Race presented by SXSPerformance.com. This year’s event promises to be bigger than last years with big prize money and more classes competing to be crowned the UTV King of the Hammers.
This year’s event will be the best yet as Ultra4 Racing has partnered with the International Side X Side Association (ISA) to sanction the UTV Race. “The team at the ISA has worked long and hard to create a uniform rules package that gives drivers of different vehicle types and skill levels a chance at being competitive.” said Ultra4 Director Dave Cole. The PitBull Tires UTV Race presented by SXSPerformance.com will feature 5 classes of competition that will allow everything from a Stock RZR to a fully modified Teryx to compete competitively in the race.
With $5,000 in prize money from Pit Bull Tires up for grabs in this year’s race the top 3 overall UTVs will split the purse as follows; 1st- $3000 2nd-$1500 and 3rd $500. All classes will receive trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and the overall winner will receive the coveted KOH Hammer.
When the green flag drops on race day the classes will be lined up as follows; Unlimited 4, Production 1000, Production 850, Production 700, and Beginner/Stock. Drivers will leave the starting line in 30 second intervals and the Driver with the best overall time will be crowned the King of the Hammers UTV Champion.
This year’s course will be a combination of desert trails and rock trails that will make it exciting for both the competitors and spectators alike. Tackling one lap around the rough Johnson Valley desert along with a couple of the famous Hammer trails will prove the durability of both the driver and machine.
The good news to racers is entry fees will remain low with an entry fee of $475. IRC tracking will also be required for the race this year so your family and friends that weren’t able to make it to the lake bed will be able to watch your progress during the race.
Technical inspection will take place in downtown Hammertown on Wednesday night at the SXSPerformance.com vendor booth.

Over the weekend Focus Apparel Athlete Justin Seeds wrapped up the 2011 WORCS Pro2 Championship. Hard work and dedication payed off for the young 21 year old from Pinon Hills, Ca.
